This Acceptable Use Policy governs how you may use the HVID platform and its outputs. Violation of this policy may result in restriction, suspension, or revocation of your HVID identity record.
1. Permitted Uses
You may use HVID to:
- Verify whether an account or identifier is linked to a registered human identity
- Create and manage your own HVID identity record
- Link accounts that you own and control
- Submit evidence-based, factual reports regarding identity ownership conflicts
2. Prohibited Uses — Harassment
You must NOT use HVID to:
- Harass, intimidate, or target any individual using system signals or result data
- Publicly accuse any person of dishonesty, fraud, or wrongdoing using HVID results
- Combine HVID data with other sources to build defamatory profiles of individuals
- Use HVID signals as the basis for public shaming or coordinated attacks
3. Prohibited Uses — Identity Privacy
You must NOT:
- Attempt to de-anonymize or expose the private identity of any HVID user
- Reverse-engineer or infer personal information from HVID signals
- Attempt to link HVID records to personally identifiable information not provided by the identity holder
- Circumvent privacy protections built into the HVID match engine
4. Prohibited Uses — False Reports
You must NOT:
- Submit reports containing fabricated, speculative, or unverified claims
- Use the reporting system to target or harm individuals you have a personal dispute with
- Submit multiple false reports against the same identity
- Coordinate with others to submit reports designed to trigger system enforcement unfairly
5. Prohibited Uses — System Abuse
You must NOT:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-query the HVID match engine by automated means
- Attempt to access identity records not returned through normal search results
- Reverse-engineer or abuse the API or matching algorithm
- Create multiple HVID accounts to circumvent enforcement actions on a prior account
6. Consequences of Violation
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Warning or identity status downgrade
- Restriction of match search privileges
- Suspension of your HVID identity record
- Permanent revocation of HVID access
- Referral to relevant legal authorities where required by law
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe this policy is being violated by another user, you may submit an evidence-based report through the Reports system in your dashboard. All reports are reviewed privately by the HVID team.
